Tom Zwitser is a philosopher and director of publishing house De Blauwe Tijger in Groningen. He focuses on publishing books that go against the prevailing climate of opinion. I am thinking of the book by Robert Lemm about the influence of Enlightenment thinking on our society, Martin van Creveld who explored the theme of women’s emancipation and Wim van Rooy about the failed multicultural society in his view. In addition, De Blauwe Tijger publishes well-known and lesser-known classical texts.
De Blauwe Tijger was founded in 2013 and publishes ten to fifteen titles every year. Tom Zwitser selects authors and themes very carefully in order to distinguish himself from other publishers.
